Morning ☀️

practicalli-johnny09:09:51

Looking for volunteers to give workshops on Sunday 3rd December, the day before the ClojureX conference. The workshops will be free to attend and add to the experience of those joining us at ClojureX to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Clojure. Let me know what topics you want to cover (or topics you want to hear about). I'll put up a poll in a week or so to help gauge interest. Thanks

practicalli-johnny09:09:40

Topic suggestions so far include:

practicalli-johnny09:09:08

Getting started with Clojure

practicalli-johnny09:09:21

clojurescript (build a tictactoe game)

practicalli-johnny09:09:36

Datomic Clojure database

practicalli-johnny09:09:52

Clojure.spec (this might be done as part of tictactoe game)

reborg09:09:50

Can you send the poll also to currently registered attendees?

practicalli-johnny09:09:36

Good idea. I will check with SkillsMatter, as they have ownership of the attendee details.

thomas09:09:01

I hadn't realised it is on Monday/Tuesday. that is a first.

practicalli-johnny09:09:14

Mon/Tue is the new Thurs/Fri. :)

reborg09:09:58

(added thumb up to signal I can give the workshop if there is interest)

yogidevbear09:09:17

Haha... My 👍 was for interest in hearing about topics (as opposed to presenting on topics) - just to be clear 😇 Don't want to inadvertently volunteer myself without realising it 😉

reborg09:09:25

Oh don't worry, my confusion, anyway, this is informal I think

practicalli-johnny09:09:00

Both are valid, thanks... and yes, this is just an informal feedback to help encourage more input into creating a list of topics to include in a poll
