hope you'll get better!

kevin4212:07:45

Does any one have a recommendations for a mini conference or workshop to go before the end of this year around in the UK?

yogidevbear12:07:48

@kevin42 Do you mean like ClojureX?

kevin4212:07:07

Yeah ClojureX would be great thanks.

hello, anyone familiar with Symbol's value as variable is void: seq-random-elt on cider-jack-in when upgrading emacs to 25?

maleghast14:07:56

Hello everyone - I have internet!

elise_huard14:07:51

nm sorted it by removing all my cached packages and foo and reinstalling/compiling all the things

maleghast14:07:57

@elise_huard - Sorry I wasn’t much help there, but now I know what to do if I see that error message in the future.

elise_huard16:07:10

I reckon that probably applies to pretty much any upgrade with emacs that goes wrong 🙂

seancorfield17:07:28

Isn't that "pretty much any upgrade with emacs" period? 😆

minimal17:07:28

or just restarting emacs

dominicm17:07:38

@seancorfield do you use anything like parinfer or vim key bindings in atom?

seancorfield17:07:23

When I first switched from Emacs to Atom, I used the Emacs key bindings package, but I recently went cold turkey on that and now use plain ol' Atom 🙂

seancorfield17:07:55

I have it set up per Jason's "opinionated" ProtoREPL setup, except I have the auto-reload options disabled.

seancorfield17:07:05

So lisp-paredit and parinfer both installed.

dominicm17:07:07

The new parinfer is / will be cool. (No more modes). Isn't the whole deleting lines, outer form, etc. Harder without emacs keys?

seancorfield17:07:13

There are standard key bindings in lisp-paredit for most of that. Where there weren't I added a few of my own I think.

seancorfield17:07:39

Deleting lines is easy -- and parinfer "does the right thing".

seancorfield17:07:16

I think ctl-alt-w is expand selection by default, which I use quite a bit.

dominicm17:07:58

That's very interesting. I might have to try this for a week. I tried to write some serious vimscript the other day, and it's left me with a bitter taste.

seancorfield19:07:50

There's always https://atom.io/packages/vim-mode if you want to ease your transition from vim to Atom...

weavejester17:07:39

Does anyone have a Screenhero invite they could throw my way by any chance?

yogidevbear18:07:25

@U0BKWMG5B I do, if you're still looking

weavejester20:07:07

Oh, yes please 🙂

weavejester22:07:15

chrjs obliged me and I have an invite now

yogidevbear06:08:51

Great stuff. Would have sent it last night, but only seen your messages now simple_smile

yogidevbear06:08:31

Sometime these threads are a bit counter productive

yogidevbear06:08:39

¯\(ツ)/¯

weavejester13:08:56

True 🙂 - thanks anyway!

maleghast18:07:29

Ah, that’s what it is…
