@thomas do you know any open source clojure projects that need help? I'm still trying to find a project i can contribute too.
Thanks! I'll check it out. https://github.com/JulianBirch/cljs-ajax/issues this one right?
https://twitter.com/yogthos/status/876984230714200064 is the tweet that asked for help

mORNING
Morning, even
Anyone here have experience with the cloud versions of Quickbooks and/or Xero?
i've used xero plenty @yogidevbear
How do you find it in terms of usability?
I need to use something for my wife's small business
Xero seems to be a little bit more pricey overall though
pretty straightforward - i used it on my own for a personal contracting business for a while, and my last two proper businesses have used it along with some real accountants to do month-end, year-end and VAT stuff
currently, for me, the app makes it very easy to track expenses and documentation
The reviews I've read seem to imply that the UX is generally better with Xero. I think I'd prefer to use it, but we'd probably have to go with the standard version which is £22/mo
Compared to Quickbooks Essentials which we can get for around £6/mo through our accountant
Kind of feels like a no brainer in terms of fees
That said, I'm sure there's some fine print I'm not aware of (like the fees for taking payments via quickbooks vs xero, etc)
I use http://crunch.co.uk which is accountant + their own software for £70/mo
that's a pretty good deal as long as the s/w is ok @glenjamin
That is pretty good. We've managed to find a lovely accountant who only charges us around £42/mo to do the company books, tax, etc. plus personal tax returns. So if I add Quickbooks on for £6/mo that comes to £48/mo.
it is decent software, everything integrates neatly. Does quickbooks allow your accountant to log in?
Yup. Essentials package allows 3 users
