@jonpither sorry if my reply sounded glib, but if you are doing W2 and other US tax things it is your best bet. Lots of Americans use tax accountants (whose firms lobby against simplifying the tax code)

@agile_geek i remember you saying that you’ve got a place in kilburn… I’m like 10-15 minutes away from you. My gym is on Freston Road so I’m pretty shocked about the fire…

@yogidevbear I don't want to get into what's worse, it's all horrific. I think being trapped in a high rise building would be a nightmare, my building is four floors (not counting ground floor) and I'm on 3rd floor with only one practical fire exit so I was mentally rehearsing squeezing out my window (which probably doesn't open wide enough) and jumping to neighbours balcony to use back fire escape....I shudder to think of it

People seem to be suggesting the new cladding on the outside of building helped fire jump floors on outside...judging from pictures taken in night seems plausible.
