@paulspencerwilliams I thoroughly recommend Henry's book ....but the early chapters are much more about statistical techniques using Clojure code examples than about how to use Clojure in Data Science (I found this very useful as it's where my knowledge is weak)

I must re-read the last few chapters as I rushed them and don't think I absorbed much.

@agile_geek exactly, it's been 15 years since I visited T-Tests, binomial distribution etc.

I never learned them so you're one up on me!

This has been happening for decades, along with all the manufacturing in Asia that decimates labour intensive jobs in rich countries. Best course of action is educate people and then they cant easily be replaced.... no need to wait until the robots take over or start paying tax (unless they have already and no-one told me)

i’m hoping to see an increase in positive attitudes towards basic income

there’s unlikely to be enough jobs to go around as things progress

it’s not like we can round up 1/3 of the world’s population and stick them on a massive spaceship pointed out to space
