Nice, I'm self funding ClojureX this year after my employer helpfully funded me last year. I do feel a little guilty however learning about technology that I use rarely at work.

I'll be self funding for ClojureX also, but I know what you mean. My main role is devops and architecture at the moment, and we're not using Clojure as much as I want.
