Great seeing many of you yesterday at XT16, thanks for taking the risk on coming to new event, and one with so few clojure talks! Hope you enjoyed the day. :)

malcolmsparks08:10:17

To those who couldn't come we'll work hard on the post-production and put the talks up in due course.

kevin4208:10:19

Cool thanks 🙂 Looking forward to see them.

rickmoynihan08:10:26

malcolmsparks: Looking forward to seeing the talks when they make it online.... sorry I couldn't come, my travel plans would've been too crazy - up to scotland tonight, then south africa on monday

For a glimpse at what happened yesterday at XT16 I’ve put together my notes here: http://reborg.tumblr.com/post/151463898693/xt-16-conference-notes

@malcolmsparks @jonpither Thanks for organising it! I really enjoyed it. Great talks and ukeleles, axe throwing, archery and craft beer with the most amusing heath warning I've seen simple_smile

davesnowdon09:10:25

@reborg good notes - thanks

thomas10:10:47

yes, a big thank you to @malcolmsparks and @jonpither really really good and I agree with @davesnowdon regarding the health warning on the beer. Already looking forward to next years!

mccraigmccraig10:10:26

what was the health warning @davesnowdon @thomas ?

jonpither10:10:45

Hi @davesnowdon. There will be no XT17. XT32 is in the works, but if you can't wait 16 years we're planning something for 2018.

thomas11:10:14

@mccraigmccraig something along the lines of: Don’t drink to much… your liver isn’t immutable.

thomas11:10:27

(don’t have the bottle here at work 😉 )

thomas11:10:10

@jonpither it will be worth the wait. that is one thing for certain.

jonpither11:10:28

Thanks for the kind words. Great to see lots of you there, making the trip into the middle of nowhere :-)

davesnowdon11:10:32

@mccraigmccraig @thomas "Warning: Reduce responsibly, beer may cause side effects. Your liver is not immutable."

mccraigmccraig11:10:20

ha, "drinking beer is not like a monad"

davesnowdon11:10:15

FWIW, also on the other side of the label: "We are the thinkers, the deliberators, the hammock-hoggers, the puzzle solvers, the fun seekers, the tree-hugging laptop-luggers, the hill climbers, the makers, the builders, the surfers, the crafters, the grafters, the people who can never stop digging, the eternal dreamers. We turn thoughts into things, frustration into insight, coffee into code and beer into ideas. This is XT16. This is beer"
