so many groups šŸ˜ž

korny10:07:00

itā€™d be good to consolidate, methinks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumpers_and_splitters

korny: you mean like to #C04V12NPC? šŸ˜‰

otfrom10:07:48

I'd like something with a bit less traffic and more physical proximity that #C03S1KBA2

korny10:07:55

Is the UK in Europe still? simple_smile

korny10:07:29

Iā€™m a splitter when necessary - #C03S1KBA2 is too big. And local things need local organisation.

otfrom10:07:29

so... the right level of lumpiness is?

korny10:07:37

Hmm. Not sure - probably clojure-uk not ldnclj? Though thatā€™d be strange as thatā€™s not how mailing lists and meetups are aligned.

korny10:07:30

I just canā€™t see conversations happening successfully in all of #C0522EZ9N #C064BA6G2 #C04V12NPC and irc and mailing listsā€¦

korny10:07:01

anyway, it doesnā€™t really matter, group evolution will probably lead to people gravitating to wherever the people are, so maybe itā€™s self-organising.

korny: The euroclojure room was created for discussions around the conference, not european clojurians (although it could now be used for that I guess, but what happens next year?)

korny12:07:25

adulteratedjedi: fair enough, I kind of assumed that was the case. I suspect that ā€œall european clojuriansā€ is generally too big a group to be worth splitting from #C03S1KBA2 in general. (Though as a conference discussion itā€™s a great thing to have)
