god damn Madrid is a beautiful city. I need to get serious about learning spanish, any book recommendations for basics ?
I did 50 days of duolingo haha, I know some words but don't understand the basic grammar rules
oh I don't have any insight for that stage. I learned Catalan (a cousin of Spanish language) by going to a free class provided by the town council. It didn't presume any previous Spanish knowledge. probably in Madrid your classmates would be immigrants of the least favored countries, which may not be exactly your jam (or a rewarding experience, who knows). In Barcelona it's different since Catalan is sort of a niche language that you can perfectly live without in the capital city.
hehe still living in France though, I'll make me some Spanish friends and convince them to teach me. Thanks !
