Oh I don’t know how much I mentioned here: became a freelancer because I got an offer for a job doing clojure 🎉
Pop!_OS was the second one I tried, they have 2 iso options for their releases: With drivers (wouldn’t even boot live usb) and without (seems to work, haven’t installed it yet)
I actually tried that as well, along with a VM installation, but since I might need to use a VPN I was kinda worried about both, they both installed fine.
WSL2 super simple, but I wanted GUI emacs, and I didn’t want to go through the trouble of running XsrvCx or whatever that’s called.
VM worked flawlessly as far as I got… soo… I might use that if I can’t get nouveau drivers to work easily with my 30xx card
Congrats! :)
I just finished an installation of manjaro on my new thinkpad. I had some issues with the AMD gpu drivers a well ;)
Congrats @hobosarefriends, I'm still not convinced programming language should say much about the joy of working. Having said that, 'returning' to work after a week does make me sad. But it's more the organisation than it is the programming language..
Currently for the National Police, which is a bureaucratic mess (but employed at Open Web).
@gklijs I think I heard a podcast with the founder of Open Web on http://airhacks.fm
