Morning!

Spend last week mostly learning Akka, using it with Spring Boot in Java. Once you get the hang of it, it’s kind of nice.. Still would prefer Clojure.

skuro07:10:20

hey hey, sorry for the silence, yesterday it has been.... interesting

skuro07:10:49

@stefan.van.den.oord the meetup is indeed going to be all remote

skuro07:10:58

I intended originally to have a remote-dojo session

skuro07:10:12

although to be honest I'm still trying to figure out the e-logistics of it

Stefan07:10:38

@skuro We can use VSCode live share for that! 🙂

skuro07:10:42

e.g. is there anything that can allow us to follow the usual pair prog style without the event itself becoming :poop: ?

skuro07:10:00

isn't it the case that I have to have VSC myself? not that that is an issue

skuro07:10:26

it might become one if I have to actually use it to code and get out of my comfortable emacs shell 🙂

skuro07:10:36

but it could still work actually

skuro07:10:27

so you first get on stage and show how things are done with Calva, then we have an install fest of a sort where we can all (or most of us) get up to speed then we experiment with live share

skuro07:10:42

shall we give it a shot?

Stefan08:10:30

I just checked when it is, it’s this Wednesday right? At 19.00? Like I said I can join on Wednesdays from home, but I’m afraid 19.00 is too early for me. If I stretch things a bit I think I can make 20.00 but definitely not earlier on Wednesdays…

Mno09:10:46

oh right I read everything and didn’t say Mornin’

Mno09:10:51

Mornin’

skuro20:10:35

@stefan.van.den.oord starting the meetup at 8pm is a no go for me unfortunately, as I'll be hosting the meetup at about 50cm away from my daughter's bed (there's a thin wall between the home office and her bedroom, but still) so chances are I need to shut down at 9:30pm

skuro20:10:55

but we could think of scheduling something from you around that time
