morning... and I am afraid I have no idea what Clap(L) would look like...

thomas08:12:11

I never got further then the question is it possible to make a Clojure lib that implements the APL semantics (of which I know next to nothing).

Mno09:12:56

Mowning! 🌅

Mno09:12:54

dang it i cant edit it easily 😭

Mno09:12:57

this took so long and I'm sure it's wrong

thomas09:12:37

That looks like APL to me... but somehow I think I'd prefer more readable and writeable characters

Mno09:12:39

"That looks like APL to me" might be my new favorite way of saying "I can't understand that"

As the Dutch saying goes: "ik kan er geen chocola APL van maken"

When I was at IBM we were once talking about how impossible APL was. And one colleague asked what the A in APL was standing for... He managed to work out what the PL part was.

thomas10:12:20

Our answer was : the A stands for A.

Mno10:12:13

I heard IBM was named IBM because it's 1 step (letter) ahead of HAL

Mno10:12:16

or to put it in clojure terms

thomas11:12:13

IBM predates HAL by about 50 years or so...

Mno11:12:42

So what you're saying is that people from IBM are probably not time travellers with a weird sense of humor?

thomas12:12:49

very unlikely

skuro13:12:40

wikipedia says that there's no intended relationship between the two

skuro13:12:44

must be true

skuro13:12:28

which rhymes, adding authoritativeness to the factoid

😂 4
Mno13:12:39

That just looks like more evidence that they're time travellers to me. :face_with_monocle:

lmergen17:12:02

this is why Sinterklaas is true

lmergen17:12:14

lots of rhymes associated with that man

gklijs21:12:21

But how composable are rymes, could you just pick the rhyming parts of a couple together to make a new poem?

borkdude21:12:50

and how to arrange new rhymes from composable subrhymes?

skuro22:12:15

@borkdude if you unravel that secret and combine that with a deep understanding of SPL (http://shakespearelang.sourceforge.net/report/shakespeare/) you will be on the right track for the ultimate literate programming language

Mno23:12:56

Good lord it's useless, I love it.
