when i google for elephant book, all i can find is this https://www.amazon.com/Elephant-Piggie-Biggie-Book/dp/1484799674
which dutch bank should i use? a big one?
seems to be a coin toss. probably going to go with ING
a lot of expats use ABN, or ING. I don't dislike Rabobank but it's more dutch-speaking
thanks!
also KNAB is worth considering @robert-stuttaford
bunq and knab are both pretty cool, but i'm not 100% sure you can open a bunq bank account without using a traditional bank account for the initial "seed" money
ING is definitely more user friendly. But I also worked there for two years so I'm biased
If you also want a creditcard I think ING provides only Mastercard and at Rabo you can choose for VISA
@robert-stuttaford if you’re doing international transactions, go with ING. I’ve had trouble with ASN bank, because they use an intermediary bank for those transactions. After a few months of putting up with it, I finally went to ING and never had a problem again. KNAB also uses an intermediary party, they’ll also ask an extra fee.
Just heard the last cognicast podcast with Rich Hickey about Ions. Looks more promising than AWS lambda for the JVM I think. Will start working for a client using AWS, really hope I could push Clojure at some point, they now use MongoDB with Java.
thank you all
ING it is
