morning... trying to get logging enabled and feed to ELK

gklijs09:07:21

@thomas that's about what I did last week. But in a spring boot Java microservices environment. We have a dependency triggering log back logging with the Kafka logback appender. Then with logstash it's put to elastic search.

thomas09:07:51

it is a spring boot camel app.. and it uses logback... I think...

thomas09:07:02

but nothing ends up in the log file

lmergen09:07:29

spring boot camel? are these actual names?

gklijs09:07:44

Default logging of spring boot is using logback, but just to console. We needed a trick to be able to use the Kafka URL from the config server.

thomas10:07:56

@lmergen yes they are... but please don't ask me.

thomas10:07:24

@gklijs I found the logback settings eventually... it seems to be working now.

hey there, anyone going to curry on this time? http://www.curry-on.org/2018/

borkdude14:07:52

I thought about it, but the ticket price is not worth it to me

skuro14:07:20

ouch! didn't watch the price list before

lmergen14:07:48

you can buy a lot of curry for that money
