thomas08:06:42

yes, I'll have a look at that.... maybe it will help me understand more about datomic/datascript/etc

skuro08:06:46

@joost-diepenmaat good news is that the meetup was professionally recorded and we'll put live the videos sometimes soon!

lmergen08:06:50

that's good to hear!

borkdude08:06:34

@thomas For learning datalog, I recommend this website: http://www.learndatalogtoday.org/

iamyemeth08:06:04

@thomas Also check out the day of datomic videos and exercises https://docs.datomic.com/on-prem/day-of-datomic.html

joost-diepenmaat08:06:34

cool would love to see that @skuro!

iamyemeth09:06:49

@robert-stuttaford's going to be moving to the Netherlands soon and is keen to check out the Clojure meetup

iamyemeth09:06:02

He currently runs the Clojure meetup in Cape Town

thomas09:06:03

if you have any questions just ask. also (or maybe especially) if they are related to living in :flag-nl:

robert-stuttaford09:06:21

thanks for inviting me 🙂 i am super looking forward to hanging out with Clojurists in NL. i’ll be living in Apeldoorn to begin with, which means i’ll probably be driving in to a more populous area to meet folks 🙂

borkdude09:06:22

@robert-stuttaford Since Amsterdam Clojure meetup is now called The Dutch Clojure meetup, feel free to organize an event in Apeldoorn once you’re settled 😉

thomas09:06:12

no pressure 😉

skuro09:06:54

awesome news, @robert-stuttaford looking forward to nerding out with you in the future 😉

skuro09:06:35

and yes, we should put Apeldoorn (or Gelderland for that matter) on the Dutch Clojure map

iamyemeth09:06:23

@thomas you should speak to @robert-stuttaford about Datomic, he has pretty deep knowledge of it and his company has been using it in production for at least 5 years (I think I worked at Cognician in like 2013?)

borkdude09:06:55

@thomas your company also uses it in production 😉

thomas09:06:23

I know @borkdude, but that doesn't mean I understand how to use it 😉

thomas09:06:45

and we do PHP as well.... and errh... hmmm... errhghh.....

borkdude09:06:26

choose your (most fun) battles …

thomas09:06:30

datomic here we come.....

gklijs10:06:44

I also want to take a closer look at datahike, might help with integrating it with redis, since I used that before.

robert-stuttaford11:06:04

i wouldn’t call what you did around here work, @occamin -grin-

robert-stuttaford11:06:16

super happy to nerd out about datomic

thomas13:06:44

dunno if people have seen this before: https://github.com/denistakeda/re-posh

chrisblom13:06:25

does anyone have experience with the underlying posh library?

chrisblom13:06:46

reactive pull and queries would be super nice for ui work, but when i looked at it, posh didn’t meet my standards

chrisblom13:06:50

especially because the reactive pull and query functionality is not tested

borkdude14:06:26

re-posh looked interesting to me, but I wonder if it has the same performance as re-frame subscriptions

borkdude17:06:30

There is now a #datahike channel. Feel free to join.
