I’ve posted this in the HumbleUI channel as well If anyone’s been thinking of trying to use HumbleUI to build a game, I’m happy to report being pleasantly surprised, it’s really quite workable and I’ve had a fair bit of fun hacking on it I would encourage people who are on the fence to give it a go! I’m taking the game I put together and putting it up as a template people to show how to set stuff up, you’re welcome to use it =) It has working gamepad support and full deploy to itchio as a github workflow https://github.com/Folcon/mechstain-demo-2026 There’s still some work to do in terms of unifying the gamepad input with HumbleUI’s model as well as screen/scene handling and I hope to figure that out over the next few months, but I’m pretty happy with it Let me know if you have any questions! Hopefully people can build some cool stuff with it as it’s permissively licensed so go nuts 😃 Here’s my itchio page for the game I made, I basically just put it together as a gamejam =) • https://folcon.itch.io/mechstain-7drl-2026 Here’s the final devlog of this phase for anyone who’s interested https://folcon.itch.io/inkstain/devlog/1466933/in-which-i-wrap-up-and-take-stock I plan to continue working on it and see where it can go from here, next step is probably getting some really basic art in so it looks a little bit better than it currently does =)
