Dumb question from one who has never written a game before… is there a TODO list equivalent for 2D Games … something like pong?
Haha, yesterday I did some research around this topic. I haven't found such list but I came up with my own: pong, space invaders, flappy bird, frogger, snake, asteroids (these are from https://thecodingtrain.com/tracks/games), also: centipede, somthing like early zelda, roguelike (https://www.gridsagegames.com/blog/2018/10/how-to-make-a-roguelike/), pacman, boulder dash, bomberman, etc...
There is a community around Pico-8 and TIC-80 (supports Fennel) fantasy consoles with plenty of simple games you can learn from and try to reimplement them.
