I will say, as much as American politics is fucked, they do have much more of a culture of being engaged, grass roots local organising, etc. It's shocking in comparison how tame Europeans are... there's this attitude that nothing will ever change and it doesn't matter anyway and yeah I guess I'll go vote maybe whatever
