Good morning
good morning, may your sequences stay lazy until you truly need them today.
Good overflowing coffee morning
Aeropress FTW! Peet's Timor Leste.
Some nice water tension right there
The little bear on the shelf there is my University of Surrey mascot -- wearing his little "University of Surrey" T shirt. He's probably nearly 40 years old. Kermit is hanging on hook on the wall next to him. I think he was a gift when I was at Macromedia, about 25 years ago. And there's a little wire cat hanging up between them. The book at the front of the shelf is "Design Patterns" 🙂
GoF?
Indeed! The books are: Design Patterns (GoF), Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture (Fowler), Enterprise Integration Patterns (Hoepe, Woolf), Refactoring to Patterns (Kerievsky), Refactoring (Fowler), and Seven Languages in Seven Weeks (Tate). Pretty much the only physical tech books I own now -- I threw out / donated a lot of older text books when I moved a year ago.
I even threw out my much treasured copy of Programming the 6502 and A Microprogrammed Implementation of APL, which date back to... maybe the '70s?
Hmm, '83 for the former apparently, and '72 for the latter.
(both by Rodnay Zaks)
Somewhere along the line, I misplaced my copy of Functional Programming: Application and Implementation (Peter Henderson) from 1980 which is what launched me into Lisp and ML etc, and why I ended up doing a PhD in FP language design and implementation...
Good morning
