good quinta morning

when you learn Portuguese, you might think they have an off by one error cos Monday is counted as the second day of the week. And then you think and realise that humans can decide whatever they want and the thought that making things conform to how computers work is ridiculous.

Raised in a hiberno-English-speaking environment I'd always understood that Monday was the second day of the week, and that the seventh was the Sabbath/Saturday? At least formally... though understand Monday has more subconscious/informal weight as the first day of the working week

we can go back to a time where .... who knew that weeks even existed? It's obviously all just made up 😉

and did you know that one of the innovations of the French revolution was an attempt to decimalise the week. You have to admire their ambition (as well their guillotines of course) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Republican_calendar#Days

Have to love the French.

Ah…. to escape this seven spoked wheel

And what about September being the 7th month.

I really hope the guy who made September the 9th month got what was coming to him
