The amount if complexity and number of times I've said "Rama fixes this" in the past month is too damn high
What specifically?
Synchronizing multiple states based on a continuous data stream which can be interrupted for some reason but must be comtinuous for correctness
Three services, a database, queue and bootstrap script are already a messy hair ball
I have the same feeling.... my take on it though that it would be simpler to implement/less accidental complexity.
Yeah, the stuff I make just never really reaches that sort of complexity, but I also try to avoid shared state as much as possible.
I guess I would feel differently if if that was a requirement for me.
The entire thing we're building is shared, beautiful complex state, built sequentially
at the place I work we have lot's of shared state, so here it would apply as well I think, just need to convince some other people 😉

morning
Flandrien weather today: snow, hail, rain... the works
when I got up this morning the sun was shining, by the time I had showered it was raining and I had to turn on the lights again.
I'm closing down tabs in my browser and it is taking forever . I open way too many tabs, the same ones over and over 😄
to get rid of the memory it probably has to read it first from disk and then fee it... Ever since I have found tab groups my screen is a lot less cluttered
I like the OneTab extension for sorting a lot of that out
Good rain/sun morning
Good morning
I feel like I'm being pressured by my son to start napping at midday 😴
my daughter put me to sleep twice yesterday 😄
