Good Morning!
Good morning 🙂
morning
Morning!
Morning!
Automated scamming calls with more and more convincing text-to-speak voices are, thankfully, still transparent to me. Even so, it feels disconcerting to have a "voice" speak to me and try to scam me, somehow even more so than some tired Indian guy or gal from "Microsoft" eager to help me out with my problems.
My bank has announced a feature via their mobile app that shows me (in the app) when someone from my bank is calling me.
So, if someone phones up pretending to be my bank, I can check the app, and it'll tell me if my bank are actually calling me
Still, even then, i would be wary and not divulge details until I'm 100% confident it is my bank calling me
.
(I tend to go with the hang-up route, then phone their call center via their number, and say I was just contacted by you, what do you want?)
.
I think your last-mentioned option is always the safer one.
I never answer the phone, unless I'm a) expecting a call and b) recognize the caller ID. If it's important, folks can leave a message!
(and if I call back, I do it on the official number, not whatever called me or whatever the message told me to call!)
I too let all calls go to voice mail, under the same conditions
if it's important, they'll leave a voicemail
good morning

Good 🥶☀️ morning
Lovely place. I have been there a few times during the summer
This does not look like home, but that slope seems to be rotated 90 degrees or something? Where you at?
