Do Clojure tests run in parallel?

borkdude 2025-11-07T10:46:32.121289Z

Not by default

reefersleep 2025-11-07T10:46:47.415269Z

I've been debugging some behaviour that seems to result from a fixture setting a global var to X before the test, then resetting it to Y. And it seems like for some random amount of tests on reach run using this fixture, they see Y.

These tests are run with kaocha

borkdude 2025-11-07T10:47:43.038259Z

well, that may change things of course, but by default clojure.test doesn't run in parallel.

reefersleep 2025-11-07T10:47:44.189519Z

I'll ask there

reefersleep 2025-11-07T10:47:50.504399Z

thank you 🙂

Before LLMs, thinking hard was the only way, now there's a buffer zone between a task and thinking hard time, and it's called developer's hopeless prayer 🙈
