Just got a covid + flu jab this week. I figured I'd get them since I have to go on a long flight soon and last time I got covid

It may not be COVID -- there's a particularly nasty cold bug going around: several of our friends have symptoms on and off for up to two months. One friend had a really bad cold for a week but it left her with a cough she can't shake for almost two months now. They've all tested for COVID, all negative. That said, both my wife & I got COVID "recently" and this time it took me about a week longer to recover than her -- normally, I recover from stuff much faster. We just got our updated COVID jabs on Tuesday (and I got my flu shot too -- she got hers a month ago).

I felt a bit shaky this morning from the shots but now I almost feel kinda fine again. I have fear of getting shots, I tend to almost faint. So I avoided the shots since 3 years post-pandemic. Half a year ago I got a pretty bad flu though and since I'm flying to the US I thought it'd be worth it

The US has had some bad surges of COVID lately, so I think that is sensible.

We just had an off/on “cold” for 3 weeks: First my wife, then me, then we thought we were good, then me again, then our 2.5 months old child (our first) had over 38 degrees so off to the hospital we go. There he got tested, was Covid and then my wife got it again. So in Switzerland there’s definitely a big Covid wave going round. Now we’re fine again 😄 Hope you feel better soon too!
