Morning
🍵 morning
morning!
What's "space garden" in your language? (just thinking aloud about potential project names that don't easily conflict with existing names)
What's a space garden?
I picture a lush, green area floating in space, stars and planets viewable through glass.
so you are in a garden that floats around space so you can watch stars?
ruimte tuin
(ironally in Dutch it would be without a space ... 🥁 , but many people do use a space in between words now because of influence from English)
Rumhave, I guess
rum heaven
yeah.... I make that mistake a lot.
blame it on me living in the UK for 17 years
> so you are in a garden that floats around space so you can watch stars? Yes indeed! Sorry for the "questino and run", work suddenly poured in and I had to run around a bit. Rumhaven, runhave and ruimte tuin are nice!
if you're going with the Dutch version it should be "ruimtetuin" without the space
"Rumhaven" for "the space garden" (Danish)
Very similar to the Norwegian "romhagen"!
The double common double meaning of "space" ("3d space" vs "space exploration") is surprisingly troublesome! Especially with the Norwegian / Danish third meaning of "room" being lumped into the same word It just sounds so boring that there's a "3d space garden" or "garden in a room" 😔
Raumgarten in German.
Or "Weltraumgarten", if you want to be more specific.
I like how "weltraumgarten" sounds! ☺️
galaxy garden
Yes. I think the "room" interpretation of "rum" is less pretty than the "space" interpretation, and of course does not evoke what you want - and it's as close to the forefront of my mind as the "space" interpretation when hearing or reading the word "Rumhave"
Galaxy Garden comes with a soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpFFmso_liM&list=PLK5_UnXAc9t-gyUQ3yoa2PFlfH-gbZ2Wx&index=6
This song also came to my mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCbAEkfXSDE
In 🇭🇺 it would be "űrkert"
huh, that's short! Funny that "űr" means space in hungarian. I immediately wondered if it had "űr" had anything to do with the ancient sumerian city https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ur, but that appears not to be the case. I liked "űrállomás" for "space station" too 😄
uranos in Greek (at least ancient Greek)
not etymologically related, but also funny
well, it means heaven which is slightly different than space I guess lol
apparently, I'm now in the business of inventing greek words: "Uranion alsos", which from my amateur readings can be translated into "celestial grove" 🌱
Gairdín spáis
Hard to type when checking out a repo....
Or 'gairdín neamhaí' if you want to get all celestial...
Beautiful. I don't even know how to begin guessing how to pronounce that. (off to visit some websites for that)
Phonetically 'gore-jean spawss' and 'gore-jean nya-vee', respectively
Seeing Irish words spelt and hearing them pronounced is such an brain twist for me
good morning!
Morning!
Good morning

Remove RelaxAccessControlCheck for JDK 8 bytecodes
🥁
Also where the JVM sends bytecodes across machine boundaries. Some of them eventually end up in CECOT, El Salvador, never to be seen again.
I'll have two of that please!
Where the JVM vibe codes it’s GC behaviour 🧟♂️
yeah
Good morning party people
