Morning!
Morning!
yes, made by @U050UBKAA! more info in #C03U8L2NXNC
We moved during our holiday to this car free area so we are now nearly at the southwestern edge of Copenhagen. Getting some amazing sunsets every night now!
Morning
Morning.... back from holiday... and more or less directly dropping off again. I'll start a new job on Aug 12th at the Dutch national railways (NS) as Resiliency Architect, so no clojure, but convincing the over 200 teams they have to become better at failing π
France... But we stayed clear of Paris and were on Normandy, and yes we did visit Omaha Beach... very weird IMHO.
so since your'e not coding anymore, this will mean you will have more code-cycles left for Clojure hobby programming :)
If you have to model and draw diagrams, take a look at Overarch. It's EDN at least.
Congratulations! πͺ
Holy f*, my chickens had a "Last Shadow" moment just now
I hear a strange noise outside. I go out to have a look.
Next to the chicken coop, there's a huge-ass velociraptor, I mean buzzard, scaring the shit out of my beloved flock.
The coop is covered with a net, several of the support ropes came loose, probably because the buzzard tried to dive-bomb the poor chickens.
One of them was squeezed between the outer fence and a wooden log, probably trying to hide.
looks like it, they're pretty shaken it appears
hidden away in the hen-house, they don't want to come out
lesson learned: don't let the chickies roam free unsupervised anymore
without the net they would have been toast
we live next to a private piece of woodland that is not accessible to the public
there's quite some wildlife in it
there are does, foxes, and a couple π of buzzards
I see them quarrel with crows from time to time
Overijse
Overijse BE π
close to brussels
nope π
Ah so you're from Belgium then, great. Close to Leuven, I guess you're coming to the conf?
probably yes
Do you have wolfs in that area too? They cause a bit of a controversy here in NL since they kill sheep which makes farmers mad
no, they're more up north
the woodlands here (apart from the Sonian forest) are quite splintered. Too small for wolves.
Bird of prey πΆ
