morning! anyone going to XT24? Just booked my coach/train between London and Milton Keynes! (Coach because there's a train strike on Wednesday)

simongray10:05:24

Where is that!?

jasonbell10:05:44

The Kelpies, near Falkirk in Scotland.

Awesome. My youngest daughter would love them. Maybe it’s a trip to Scotland in the cards this summer. Been a while since I visited.

Why is there a blurry circle/semi-circle in the bottom center of the picture?

jasonbell10:05:27

Probably the lens on my phone being mucky.

What a cool duo! Massive sculptures like that are pretty rare these days.

Looks like they are extra spectacular at night.

Sadly it was daylight and I was pressed for time.

jasonbell10:05:51

Time was not on my side @otfrom - so I just waved from Sleeperz instead.

no worries. Safe travels

Got back late last night. Just sitting upright and doing nothing.

Morning! Every day reveals a new case of "Clojure used to save my ass and I wasn't aware of it!"

grav12:05:48

Today it's the fact that keys as keywords or symbols are special in Clojure. At least in Cursive, the auto-complete only suggests the finite set of keys that are already in use in the project. In Python (at least to my knowledge) the set of keys is always the set of all strings, so auto-complete is less powerful

And so I made a spelling mistake in a key that threw me off for quite a while

grav12:05:24

There are so many things in Clojure that helps to avoid shooting yourself in the foot, without having to go all in on static typing

lately it sounds like your love with Clojure has been rekindled ❤️
