I translated a Bash script to Babashka line by line this morning. I just used babashka.process/shell
for every command. Really neat.
Just being able to avoid bash-style variables (`sha=$(git rev-parse --short HEAD)`) and have a normal let, kind of made it worth it.
Previously, I鈥檝e made my babashka scripts big, making a directory with deps.edn
and such. This time I made one .bb
file, and I kind of liked it more. Just a file, nothing more.

@teodorlu A while ago when I was transcribing bash -> Babashka, I got some awesome help from @borkdude finding more idiomatic and effective Babashka ways. You are probably past that stage, but anyway, I wrote a little thing about it: https://blog.agical.se/en/posts/changing-my-mind--converting-a-script-from-bash-to-babashka/
It was nice having a couple of weeks without anyone being sick in the household 馃槄
