I’m refitting a system I’ve already developed for a new purpose and a new—much smaller—dataset and and it’s sooooo, so satisfying just deleting all of those hacks and other organically occurring lines of code that accumulate in an older codebase. chef’s kiss
Plus, the thing that is getting replaced is a decade old Java blob from hell that is currently busying up 4 different backend servers for no good reason.
