working from home? working from bed
more likely to spill your cup of tea in bed
(watch out for the bugs tho' obvs)
bed bugs and code bug forming an unholy alliance
Morning
Morning!
Good morning! The night before last, my son peed in bed. This night, he just woke up and couldn't sleep for an hour. Rough going atm. Hope y'all are sleeping better 🙂
I know it seems odd, but this place affording saying "morning" is part of why I hang out here rather than zulip or clojureverse
mind you, on irc I can block people in my client. Here I'd have to complain to the mods
I’m planning to do that next week. I don’t expect to actually be able to do anything, seems I will need to reconfigure my brain a while first.
One impression that I'd rather only share over this cozy channel is that the Clojure API looks as if it was brought from 10 years ago... nowadays the most beloved APIs tend to be heavily data-based, e.g. honeysql, malli. Of course, there may be a good reason for it to be like that... but with the precedent of Specter, which a lot of people dislike, I don't know what to think. Anyway, if Rama brings some freshness to our community, so much the better :)
I just watched the video... and yes it seems quite a departure from where we currently are.
I looked up the examples and, yeah, it's a very macro-heavy DSL. I once compiled a list of Clojure DSLs and it struck me back then how they're nearly all data-based, so this one definitely doesn't feel very idiomatic.
Here is another video with lots of back ground info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPsK6jsEA58
