Good morning 🙂
I like to sporadically complain about the 'ikea effect' in software Today I discovered the 2x ikea effect: the satisfaction of hacking an ikea gadget to satisfy custom needs. (god morgon!)
What’s the ikea effect? Are you Swedish, @U45T93RA6?
An Italian metal band wrote a parody song about Ikea (more or less): https://youtu.be/S9WWz95ripA?si=_1oPnqBorPIpPQL4
I filled this laptop stand with bean bag filler, that way its tilt increases. Wasn't so easy! and I'm just a Chilean armed with G Translate 😄
sure, but then I want to know your 2nd fave (and you don't get a metaphorical dinosaur for that)
Is it a real dinosaur? Fight! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brontosaurus#Skull_correction,_resurgent_discoveries,_and_reassessment
If you ask "what is your favourite pre-historic, but present-day acknowledged dinosaur", then I'm not sure 😄 #bi-temporality
Archaeopteryx
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stegosaurus, without a doubt. I have fond, vivid memories of stories my dad and I used to make up where we sat in the between the scales of a stegosaurus, riding it around. I used to have this book with pictures of all the dinosaurs (artist drawings, not just skeletons) which I absolutely adored.
@U793EL04V I like the Welsh accent of the ichthyosaurus
Bernard Cribbins was such a genius
Do you know, I don't think I have one anymore. I feel like Peter Banning, having totally forgotten the magic wonders of Neverland and fairy dust. I maintain, though, that Jurassic Park is an awesome movie.
and I'm not surprised that @U0KGSPTGB has come up with one I've never heard of
