I have fond, vivid memories of stories my dad and I used to make up where we sat in the between the scales of a stegosaurus, riding it around. I used to have this book with pictures of all the dinosaurs (artist drawings, not just skeletons) which I absolutely adored.

As for why: • Spinosaurids are cool • It was novel when everyone else was talking about Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor back in the 90s • It was found in the South of England (where I'm from) around the time I was born

yeah, but Stegosaurus had only just evolved when I was born so I don't know about these new ones. I stopped paying attention around 140 million year ago
