Morning 🌊 😢
Thanks for asking 🙏 sorry for being obscure I just woke up to the Nova Kakhovka dam breach dominating my feeds. What an utter catastrophe that would be in normal times.
godmorgen 🙂
Good morning. It was my birthday last Friday. The stork of course had to one-up everyone and brought me a daughter, making all the other presents look comparatively tiny! My 2-year old is already loving his new role as a big brother. Seeing them together is so harmonious that it totally makes up for the complete lack of sleep we parents suffer from now. Anyway, she's healthy apart from some jaundice, but we already know the drill from back when the last one was born.
Great big congratulations! Go you! 💪 She looks to tiny and cute ❤️ And your boy looks even bigger now 😄 Hope mom is ok, apart from the sleep issues
congratulations - #2 is so much easier 🙂 - although maybe not on the sleepless nights front
My 2,5 year old son just fell face first on the concrete stairs leading down from our house 😬 He's chattering away as usual again now, adorned with some big bruises and scrapes. I've been dreading the day he'd fall on the concrete slabs or asphalt road around our house, hope this was the worst fall we'll see.
I've had scrapes, too. Biked face first into a parked car, slid (on my bike) head-first into our brick garage wall... But I was older, don't think anything happened at 2. My son is a bit more wobbly than most kids, so I'm extra attentive, usually 🥸
Yeah, if I recall, about that age too my son was a bit wobbly. They are still learning to balance properly. He's had his fair share of bumps and grazes
(last one was when he was running in the school playground and bumped into another kid, also running! - well, nowt much I can do about that! It does teach spatial awareness 'tho!)

Yeah, trying to roll with it when it happens. He fell on the slabs in our kitchen once, huge cartoonish bump on his forehead, didn't know the human body could do something like that!
But otherwise unperturbed, after the crying and consoling.
hah 😄 My girlfriend is the more emotionally charged one when this stuff happens
My daughter insisted on running around on the trails at age 2 and a bit with her hands in her pockets… she had one bad faceplant, scary but it’s amazing how lips etc are designed to come back from those events
