It’s taken me a while but I’m finally pulling the trigger to migrate from Joe Rogan’s Spotify to Apple Music. The internet has suggestions but wondering if there are tips from anyone here that has made the journey before?

Will be hard to Port anything over, as Apple Music does not have a free API access, only is accessible with the 99$ Apple Developer Account 😔

Lucky that I don’t have anything to port.

Now that bandcamp has successfully unionised I'm thinking about going there. Podcasts I'd get from good old RSS as Tim Bray intended. Not sure that covers all of your usecases though

ray16:05:01

yeah, I use bandcamp - great for new stuff but the catalogue is small.

I use overcast for podcasts which relies on RSS.

Not at all sure what you’re asking, but I really enjoy Software Unscripted. Also, Corecursive is still good even though the format has changed over the years.

Yes - those are already on the subscription list. I was mainly thinking about what pain was involved in switching from Spotify to Apple Music (eg hardware fails or feature gaps)

simongray07:05:30

They are largely equivalent in my experience. I think Apple Music doesn't have the remote control features of Spotify and isn't as focused on recommendations, but the catalogue is similar and the UI is fine too.

More snow. Didn't make it to the top. Had to head back because of too deep snow.

otfrom11:05:00

Where is this?

teodorlu14:05:59

😊 If there was less snow, I would have made it to "Brannhytta", literally the "fire cabin". I'm guessing it has been used to watch for forest fires. 900 meters above sea level, "Innlandet" county, Norway. Here's a Google translated tour guide: https://ut-no.translate.goog/turforslag/117300224/brannhytta-pa-natrudstilen?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp

Babashka memex? This is relevant to my interests

I'm curious about your interests :)

I've been trying to do personal knowledge management since weird little agent software back in the late 90s and liked but didn't use things like remembrance agent from mit and have been doing planner and org and org roam stuff since then (with wikis on the side)

I was hoping to see you at the conference! Perhaps some other time. Slides and references are here if you want to take a look: https://play.teod.eu/build-your-own-little-memex-with-babasha/ Recording is not yet available. I'm not completely sure whether recordings will be published, but there was a video camera present.
