morning
ch ch ch wah wah wah wah…
Coffee machine at work is broken, so I bought some nice beans and brought out the aeropress!
🍵 today
even if I was to go out for coffee there is no good coffee from a shop that isn't at least a 20 minute drive
Good coffee shops are hard to find… At least in Denmark.
I do 60 degrees for green tea, but it’s been ages since I read about it.
Which cheap gadget should I give my gf for her birthday? We’re trying to save money, so we’re not giving big gifts to each other. We’ve got pretty much everything we need, which is why I’m thinking about gadgets.
Lego Flowers, bit more expensive, but they do last a long time and are fun to put together.
Good idea with the head thingy! Think that’s in the right ball park.
Lego Flowers would be a good gift… for me 😄
We’ll find out, eventually. Judging from what she’s said about it, I don’t think she likes it, but our boy is going to have some lego at some point, I suppose 🙂
I got my wife Lego flowers, but the actual gift is that she’ll make it herself without me bossing her around.
Not sure if it’s a cheap gadget but a day of self care where you take the day off and handle the little one is usually appreciated :)
My wife and I often just make a little something for each other for gifts. Which is nice for us. But that can take a bit of free time, which you might not have an abundance of.
Have you tried the Exit games? It's escape room type of games that you play together with one or more people. Takes about 2 hours and I think it is a super great way to spend time together. So is that head thingy.
@U0ETXRFEW also good! We actually have one lying about that we've never got around to playing. Since getting our kid - actually, since my girlfriend got pregnant - I think we've played 1 round of Splendor. Lots of good games collecting dust in a cabinet...
Hope my boy will eventually want to join us, so we can have some awesome 3 player experiences 🙌
Thanks everyone! ❤️
Mornin'... just got back back from Hawaii... where it was 20-30C every day...
It was... although the main reason for the trip was to scatter a friend's mum's ashes at sea... but then we all had five days of pure R&R in the sun at this place: https://www.orchidislemanor.com/
Fresh marlin and mahi-mahi on the BBQ, fresh ono and butterfish when we ate out, lots of poke... plenty of good eating, if you like seafood 🙂
I'm a bit old for that 🙂 I didn't even get my toes wet on this trip (my partner went for a short swim a couple of days).
About 30 years ago I still did a little windsurfing, wakeboarding, and snowboarding... but those days are long-gone!
Hoping to. Will talk to management about it when I'm back at work on Monday.
Decision "by the end of the week" apparently
