Good morning from Vienna Belvedere palace gardens 🙂 It’s a nice place to get some early remote work in

How do you get any work done with that glare? 😁

It’s like Luke destroying the death start without the guidance system, you have to feel the force of Clojure 😄

Started listening to the Software Unscripted podcast and just heard https://overcast.fm/+2tVlufU34 by Zig 🦖 creator Andrew Kelley (a top man IMHO)

He mentioned that he runs his own email server and I had given up but maybe I'll look again https://nixos-mailserver.readthedocs.io/en/latest/setup-guide.html

genRaiy08:09:32

anyone else have experience with that?

I used to run postfix, but running a mail server is a bit of a mine field ... I now just pay Google to run my mail ... This is one of my favourite bug tracking stories : https://www.ibiblio.org/harris/500milemail.html

otfrom10:09:51

I was thinking about doing that too

mccraigmccraig10:09:50

i also used to run postfix ... but in these days of DKIM, SPF and dns blacklists it seems like quite a lot of hassle for not much (¿any?) gain, compared with delegating to one of the many mail service providers

otfrom13:09:15

I think those instructions include things about dkim et al

true... things have clearly moved on since i abandoned running my own postfix

otfrom16:09:59

just read that. I'll be keeping our work email on gcloud for now

genRaiy16:09:08

yeah, probably why I'll stick with protonmail
