Morning!
Good morning and happy Friday
I went to the one on Denmark once alone. Not that much to enjoy then, would love to go back with kid(s) sometime.
gotta figure out how to not leave with all the lego in the shop, haha
Yes, still have to find a way to make the 'perfect' amount of Lego purchases. The Atari and Optimus Prime look tempting.. But also about to buy a new house, that's a good thing to hold me back for now.
will the house, and this is important, will the house have the Lego room
Not sure yet, looks like my new room will be quite larger then my current office/Lego room.
i saw this one in the London lego store a few years back https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/millennium-falcon-75192
Oh Hell Yeah, I would love that one - the highest piece count Lego set ever produced.
I bought myself this one for my birthday: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/luke-skywalker-s-landspeeder-75341?ef_id=Cj0KCQjwio6XBhCMARIsAC0u9aHHTcsODqcizLho85LF3oLxwcXPRhEV-v4YmG5E-Qd29-ccHVEErG8aAtGmEALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!933!3!595140831818!p!!g!!landspeeder%20lego&cmp=KAC-INI-GOOGEU-GO-GB-EN-RE-PS-BUY-CREATE-STAR_WARS-SHOP-BP-PH-RN-LUKE-SKYWALKER-S-LANDSPEEDER
I won't be building it for a while yet (long story) but I am going to really have fun doing it when I do.
My previous employer bought one to put together, it's gigantic. But muck like the AT-AT, titanic, Colosseum, it's hard to give them a nice place.
honestly a bit scared of walking into that shop lol
yeah, that's my issue - where to put the damn thing
and for whatever reason, where i live is HELLA dusty
so that'd be shit
You can hire them here, but I've been told it's cheaper to instead buy, build and sell it. It's not loosing that much value just putting together.
you can rent lego?! 💥
My last build was the new bat mobile, https://www.lego.com/nl-nl/product/the-batman-batmobile-42127 not as much fun as the 1989 one, but close enough. Not really sure about the light bricks through. In month it's my birthday, getting the Tumbler.
@U26FJ5FDM You can rebuild 42127 into the 1989 batmobile! https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/191176-1989-batmobile-42127-alternate-model/. Instructions are €11.00 at https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-115452/Dyens%20Creations/1989-batmobile-42127-alternate-model/#details
Thanks, but no need, as I have both. Some of the moc's are nice through. But not so much for the Volvo truck, considering selling it or giving away. Also since I mostly wanted it for building it, as it has automatic transmission.
The yellow volvo hauler?
Oh rad, I'm way into Lego Technic so it's fun to talk about this stuff. I don't have that one (or any Control+ sets)
My collection is somewhat older, I like the brick-based technic a lot
It's nice to see it come together, bit then it's pretty mich over. My parents often sell stuf, and give the profit to charity. So considering giving it to them to sell. I'll also have place to put the tumbler then 😉.
Never had a set that used pneumatics through. They also have some programmable stuff, but never not sure I would like that.
The pneumatics are fun but I'm kind of a novice in that area... If I understood the principles of that sort of thing better I think I would really like it.
The programmable Mindstorms are cool but it's a pain in the butt to get the older ones talking to the computer these days... that's where I'm currently at
Yes, that's also a worry with the Control+ sets eventually. Would be nice if it used a generic programming language you could just put on an SD card or something. Than again at some point it will become incompatible probably.
A few days ago I happened to observe when they wrap those in plastic, making those huge marshmallows (my kids call them that). An insane amount of plastic is used. They probably need to be perfectly sealed,
