I was thinking to myself this morning - why do video courses cost 200-300 USD and books 50? Writing book is far more complex and time-consuming endeavour, imho.

seancorfield05:06:05

@chokheli Yeah, I feel that. I just don't "get" the video stuff. But it seems like a lot of people really like video-based learning material and that seems to be what the market will bear? Video gets a lot fewer subscribers. Books sell a lot more copies. Maybe?

you are not alone. i find video a terrible learning experience - attempting to shoehorn you into an ineffective linear learning journey, and always wrongly paced

@seancorfield Well it depends on the subject but sometimes there’re video courses for specific interests that books aren’t available for. Regarding selling less - if pricing were somehow more competitive, perhaps video courses would have sold more. Exclusive approach isn’t necessarily lucrative :man-shrugging:

Good morning!

Several month ago I made myself a little “language” that I can use to test Paredit and other structural text operations. I still find myself really enjoying writing tests this way. Guess the risk now is that I write too many tests. 😃

enjoying or "enjoying"?

RAMart08:06:52

It is really interesting. Not "interesting".

I love a bit of training in how to be an anarchist and create dual power. I hope they do good mutual aid stuff too. 🙂
