ordnungswidrig07:05:41

Good morning! 🌅

thomas08:05:36

🎉 12
dharrigan08:05:25

Do you know which one?

mpenet08:05:58

registering everyday here in hope to get a "left-over" (it's pfizer or moderna)

djm08:05:03

I'm getting the Pfizer one next week

dharrigan08:05:30

I had the Astra Zeneca a few weeks ago. July, I'll have my second dose.

mccraigmccraig08:05:54

i had moderna a week ago...

otfrom08:05:55

still waiting on mine. They didn't have me in the system.

pez08:05:37

You know what, friends? I will be working with Calva as part of my job soon 🎉 (well, in some months, while I unwind myself from my current employment). I’m joining a Swedish, small, consultancy - http://agical.se - where I will try to sell my time as a Clojure consultant. Agical will do a patronage thing where they sponsor Calva by making it part of my job. It’s great and I am super happy, because it means Calva will get more of my wake brain, and not just that late night one, and my family will get more of my weekends since that has been the only way to give Calva the wake brain.

solf08:05:10

That is great!

dharrigan08:05:20

Super awesome news! Even although I don't use Calva (neovim + conjure is my poison!), I'm very happy to hear that this will be worked upon and you'll be paid for it!! More strength to the community! 🙂

borkdude09:05:42

Really great news, PEZ! I can sympathize with the wake brain on the weekend thing...

anthony-galea10:05:33

Congrats Peter 🙂

Writing some macros today…

pez09:05:49

I have only dabbled in (nontrivial) macros once. Very enlightening. “Clojure code is data” suddenly was much much more than just a phrase.

simongray09:05:08

Yes, it feels kinda awesome redefining the rules of the game, but it also trips me up. I’m quite bad at it.

simongray10:05:11

eyy, thanks for the recommendation @U446AB17F! Looks like a good resource.

ordnungswidrig09:05:17

I'm also team moderna. Hoping for things to normalize slowly now.

slipset09:05:15

I’m team still-stuck-in-the-basement.

simongray09:05:54

I’m team the-very-last-group-of-people-in-the-Danish-vaccination-schedule-FML

otfrom09:05:29

at least you are on the list. I'm trying to get on it

simongray10:05:16

They don’t plan to vaccinate everyone?

mccraigmccraig11:05:16

are you not on the list because your are murican @U0525KG62 and they lost your records somewhere ?

mccraigmccraig11:05:40

uk vax program is standing at 56% 1st dose and 32% 2nd dose, so largely seems to be going pretty well

otfrom11:05:56

Just and admin error due to moving from one NHS to another (as there are 4 in the UK)

djm12:05:32

@U0524B4UW 70% and 40% if you cheat and only count adults like the government statistics do 😁

mccraigmccraig12:05:41

aha @U015KH5ENEM , i lifted my stats straight from the graun, so clearly they have decided to reject the orthodoxy

mccraigmccraig12:05:57

wow, mongolia doing very well recently!

borkdude10:05:23

Tomorrow I will get my vaccination, Pfizer!

jkxyz10:05:49

Had my second Pfizer dose this week. Feels good man

anthony-galea10:05:04

Having my second dose in a week. Have to say as someone in his 30s I feel very fortunate

simongray11:05:33

You are. Must be nice 🙂

anthony-galea13:05:15

Numbers are very low now, and while there has been an aggressive lockdown too, I think the vaccine might have some merit as well 🙂

ordnungswidrig13:05:56

wow, that's impressive graphs.

ordnungswidrig13:05:24

My howe town hovers at ~120/1e5 people /week and I have no clue where these cases actually hide.

jkxyz11:05:36

I feel fortunate too. My family in the UK have had their first, but they have a long wait until the second dose. Mine were 3 weeks apart here in Romania

jmayaalv12:05:49

Ill be pfizered in a week. 🙂. Although I got sick in Jan. Looking forward for a semi normal summer 🎉

thomas13:05:51

wow.. good to see so many people here getting theirs or already had some 👍

genRaiy15:05:27

morning 💉

genRaiy15:05:29

I'm getting pfzd June 7 and July 12 ... very much looking forward to it and hoping for a better 2022

I’m just over two weeks past my 2nd Moderna shot — reaction to that was brutal: 100F fever and horrible chills for 24 hours (no reaction to the first shock) — and so glad to be able to relax a bit more. They’re probably lifting the mask mandate in California in mid-June. We’re already back to eating indoors at restaurants. Hopefully, case loads will stay low. In my county, vaccination rates are good and high, and cases are very low, even compared to the rest of California. Mum and her hubby had both their (AstraZeneca) shots earlier in the year in the UK, because they’re old and both very high-risk — and had absolutely no side-effects!

mccraigmccraig12:05:44

huh, i had my first moderna a week ago... no reaction apart from a sore arm - was it just the second shot you reacted to ?

seancorfield20:05:58

Yup. The first one was nothing. They generally expect the second one to cause more of a reaction. Shows your body has started to build up resistance.
