@orestis I like “Don’t Make Me Think” by Steve Krug, the best single volume general overview of web UI/UX I’ve found so far.

@paul.legato I’ve read it many years ago. I think I’m looking for something a little bit more visual and perhaps hands-on? Perhaps I should be looking for a course instead.

Although it seems there’s a 3rd edition that merits a re-read hmmm

@orestis I read this one years ago. As a very basic intro to web design for developers it does a good job. https://www.sitepoint.com/premium/books/the-principles-of-beautiful-web-design-3rd-edition

@orestis For good UI/UX resource, I strongly recommend the book https://refactoringui.com/ and the work of the author, Adam Wathan, on https://tailwindcss.com/ and https://tailwindui.com/. The book is really well written and a pleasure to read. https://refactoringui.com/

Thanks @jeremie I’ve seen this but was on the fence about buying. I missed the cyber Monday deal unfortunately :(

Oh wow — I thought I’d just download all my stuff from my little ghost blog, including the Ghost template (it’s a special version of handlebars) and re-implement the various plumbing myself to convert to a static site. I can get everything alright, but that template logic is madness.

I’ll probably keep the html/css structure and rewrite the rest in hiccup.
