that's intentse

otfrom08:08:52

I like my tents built out of 2 layers of beaten steel with view and gun ports and built in the 1940s

otfrom08:08:20

(it is a turret on the range at Barry Buddon near me)

raymcdermott09:08:06

I mean thereโ€™s prepping and Bruce level prepping

raymcdermott09:08:20

I know itโ€™s a turret but I really want to keep the tent theme going here, only partially to gloss over my mistake

otfrom09:08:50

I had to travel back in time to build that steel tent

otfrom09:08:07

The bike is made from the same steel

raymcdermott09:08:11

yeah that's Bruce level prepping right there

Hello everyone, I've been absent from this channel for far too long; reading back the recent traffic I feel sorry I missed it all... How is everyone doing?

otfrom10:08:03

I need to get back out on my bike, but other than that I'm OK ๐Ÿ™‚

otfrom10:08:17

(I'm happy to ride in the rain, but I've just been busy)

synthomat12:08:26

hm I need some water proof clothes for the bicycle, so that I can ride to work through mild rain

synthomat12:08:00

had to take the subway due to weather condition for past two days for the first time after corona and it felt really uncomfortable

otfrom12:08:17

@synthomat or have a change of clothes

synthomat12:08:47

or have water proof clothes and another change of clothes ๐Ÿ˜„

otfrom12:08:27

that would be the sensible option

otfrom13:08:04

@ordnungswidrig it mostly rains sideways here

otfrom13:08:12

tbh, I've just gotten used to being damp

ordnungswidrig13:08:16

Use one of these corona shields then.

ordnungswidrig13:08:08

Or cover in masks? Theyโ€™re supposed to protect you from aerosols

otfrom13:08:26

they only protect others from the aerosols you spread, really

otfrom13:08:32

so if it is raining in your mouth?

otfrom13:08:37

yeah, this is just getting weird now

raymcdermott14:08:20

it's always raining in my mouth - that's not what we need protection from ๐Ÿ™‚

raymcdermott14:08:21

I've definitely gotten used to having a damp mouth - annoys me if it isn't tbh

raymcdermott14:08:01

joking aside, you can pack a change in a small back pack and hang the cycling gear up where you work ... hopefully!

raymcdermott14:08:58

it will usually dry through the day if you have lycra ... but even getting back on the bike with damp clothes is only uncomfortable for 10 mins

raymcdermott14:08:46

I commuted on a bike (45 mins each way) for 10 years in Belgium and got soaked a handful of times cos it rarely rains heavily and persistently
