see, that's just confusing. Now I think you've been here all day but didn't say good morning ๐Ÿ˜‰

synthomat12:07:32

good morning!

synthomat12:07:36

yes, all day ๐Ÿ˜„

otfrom12:07:48

well, just when you arrive anyway ๐Ÿ˜„

synthomat12:07:00

> and then channel members on the other side of the globe start pointing out that itโ€™s different time of the day for them.

synthomat12:07:17

๐Ÿ˜„ although how much can the time in europe differ?

synthomat12:07:18

do some of you work in a mixed office/work from home environment?

synthomat12:07:27

Iโ€™m wondering what a good conferencing solution would be; we have introduced a work-from-home policy after corona, but so far one of us had to attach the notebook to the TV to include the other guys from home for the stand-ups

otfrom14:07:12

not all people in this chan might be in Europe tho. That is when we are most active

borkdude15:07:04

@synthomat Why don't the other from home guys follow the meeting on their own laptops?

synthomat15:07:37

no I mean we have to dial in the remote guys so that the office people can interact with them on a big screen

borkdude15:07:36

Why not have the office people log in through their own PCs and webcams then?

otfrom15:07:50

everyone on their own laptops makes those things a lot better (and on headsets too)

ordnungswidrig15:07:11

Yes, each on their own devices (or pairs if thatโ€™s necessary) is my best experience.

ordnungswidrig15:07:27

Audio is horrible also with the best room / conference microphones.

ordnungswidrig15:07:56

Also itโ€™s funny to see people multiple times from different perspectives when people sitting close to each other join the same call. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Ben Hammond15:07:01

I love playing that game; trying to figure out an office layout on the other side of the world, based on who is wandering around in the background, and when they come into the different camera shots

ordnungswidrig19:07:38

I bet you love nonograms ๐Ÿ™‚

Ben Hammond09:07:33

yeah, i obsessively wrote a hanjie solver in Clojure

Ben Hammond09:07:12

it chokes on the big 40x40 ones though

Ben Hammond09:07:24

keeping meanins to make it choose its solving paths more judiciously but haven't yet managed to find the time
