when I said "hello gents" yesterday I was referring to the gents who said hello to me, so far it's all gents saying hello but if any non-gents are here I want to include you in the hello and be clear that I don't think we are only gents. When I was growing up The Gents was always the toilet. There probably is still something to that. Although the gents on here are obviously delightful. Anyway, good morning.

not yet, but I can smell some nice Kässpätzle being prepared in the kitchen. Some of the perks of not having doors yet.

How is the vegan variant?
I do worry about the scalability of highly-processed vegan foods
its great to eat vegetables
but highly-processed whipped palm-and-coconut-and-almond oil confections....
its not obvious that they represent sustainable agriculture
or biodiversity

you're right @U793EL04V everything is terrible
joking aside, it's difficult to scale beyond a certain point. Certainly scaling animal death has not been / is not good.
Creating more monocultures is a problem
that's really my point
maybe veganism always has a passing air of claiming the moral high ground ... I certainly don't want to do that
and to the earlier question of @U054UD60U the vegan variant is delicious - doesn't have the usual bitterness of vegan chocolate and the ice-cream is a pleasant texture with a vanilla flavour
