yes you are... but only because you are very far up north.

thomas08:02:51

Any Norwegians, Swedes or Finish people around?

mpenet08:02:14

swedish resident here

mpenet08:02:41

(from Switzerland tho)

otfrom09:02:19

@mpenet @kardan where in Sweden (I've discovered that I'm north of some bits of southern Sweden too)

otfrom09:02:55

basically geography has been freaking me out lately

kardan09:02:09

Gothenburg, almost in the Mediterranean

😂 8
otfrom09:02:20

(like being west of Bristol even though Bristol is on the west coast of England)

mpenet09:02:21

I work from Lund

mpenet09:02:32

used to live in Bristol 😛

mpenet09:02:39

funny you mention it

otfrom09:02:04

Gothenburg: 57°42′N 11°58′E Lund: 55°42′14″N 13°11′42″E Dundee: 56°27′43″N 2°58′15″W

otfrom09:02:18

so @mpenet is a southerner

otfrom09:02:34

but I'm a southerner to @kardan

kardan09:02:15

In a Swedish comparison I’m a southerner. I have the same distance to north of Sweden as to north Italy

mpenet09:02:40

indeed sweden is very much spread out

mpenet09:02:55

with nearly the population of switzerland

mpenet09:02:01

which is super tiny

mpenet09:02:32

lots of woods over here, probably more deers than people

jasonbell09:02:10

Gone are the days we talk about being north of the Watford Gap. Basically anything south of where @otfrom is sat is now considered a southerner. I propose changing GMT to OMT (@otfrom mean time), the line where an imaginary line passes equidistant through his desk…… we can all tell our grandchildren (if we choose to have kids and they decide onwards) that we were all here at this point in time 🙂

😂 4
otfrom09:02:51

@mpenet woods sound nice

otfrom09:02:02

@jasonbell a truly momentous day indeed

I enjoyed visiting Sweden... um... 27 years ago

mpenet09:02:13

Southern Sweden is changing fast. I have been here only 5 years and a city like Malmo transformed quite a bit, they are building real fast

thomas09:02:53

I am all for OMT!!!

thomas09:02:17

and the good thing about OMT is that is always morning when you meet someone!

Rachel Westmacott09:02:11

I see you've veganised your sentence.

thomas09:02:33

dang... someone did see it!

thomas09:02:04

I blame it on dyslexia...

thomas09:02:05

and the impossible spelling of English (as there is very little relation between spelling and pronunciation)

thomas09:02:16

try saying the poem out loud.

otfrom10:02:37

that is great

jasonbell11:02:43

@thomas I was joking about OMT…..

thomas12:02:25

you!!! @jasonbell ..... JOKING??!?!?!?! Nevva!

jasonbell12:02:34

I know @thomas it’s a shock to some that I never joke about things….. I’m sure a boring person.

thomas12:02:14

I have never told a joke either.

jasonbell12:02:28

That’s correct 😉

thomas12:02:16

of course it is.... I'd never tell a lie either.

otfrom13:02:17

I heard a funny joke today... hah hahah hhahaha haha

otfrom13:02:53

when the excel spreadsheet doesn't show the data you want b/c it is filtered and it screws up the sorting and it looks like the data isn't there and you think you've lost your mind

otfrom13:02:12

HAHAHahahAHahahaAHAhahHAHAH!11h1!!1!1!!elevent!!!y

otfrom13:02:20

otfrom13:02:32

pls send hugs

otfrom17:02:23

I need to find a faster way to execute R (I think I know what will work, but I still need to write the code)
