I thought that the monday after easter was an holiday only here in Italy...

nope, it certainly is in the UK and NL, and I assume various others as well.

I thought that because usally we are the lazy ones 😅

I think it is the US who doesn't do it... in Europe it should be fairly common I would have thought

Did you know that we germans have nearly the most public holidays compared with everyone else? And also the most vacation days…

@thomas it is only a holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the UK

tho I'm on English bank holidays as it is easier for me

we do have 2nd January off as Hogmanay is 1, 2, and 3 January

Time required for the hangover to wear off.

I do like that there is no time given on the 3rd or 4th tho, and the drinking does continue. There is then a break in the "official" drinking until Burns' Night later in January.

I knew that Scotland had the 2nd of Jan off... but not the Easter Bank Holiday. Learned something new today.

we have Good Friday off, just not Easter Monday
