In the Guide above, it says: > Anyone can create an account and file a JIRA issue for Clojure. To create an account, go to the http://dev.clojure.org/jira/secure/Signup!default.jspa, log in, and then use the “Create Issue” button in the upper right. but that link leads me to a 403 Forbidden. If I just go to http://clojure.atlassian.net/ and click Sign In in the top right and then add an account, it lets me, but then says: > [my email address] doesn't have access to Jira on http://clojure.atlassian.net. does the guide need updating, is the JIRA not behaving properly, or am I doing something wrong?

i think you need permission or an account set up by @alexmiller. i remember having to sign the CLA and then there was one more step and then I got access. It's been a minute tho so I don't quite remember

Ah ok that makes sense. The guide implies that wasn't always the case: > Note: when your account is created you are allowed to create tickets, comment on tickets, and vote on tickets, but not edit their fields after creation. Generally these default permissions work fine and we automatically elevate permissions when someone becomes a contributor (n.b. I don't (yet/necessarily) want to become a contributor)

We now reserve jira accounts only for contributors providing patches, but you can always file tickets and comments at https://ask.clojure.org - can you let me know which guide you're referring to so I can update?

Ok, thanks. Yes, it's in the topic of this channel

that was quite out of date so I've updated to a new version, didn't realize that was still linked here
