just kind of a dev aside, when I created the new spec.alpha and core.specs.alpha libraries, I went to some trouble to preserve the history of the existing namespaces which shows up in commits, logs (if you --follow), blame, etc.

Looked at that but found using log and am was easier
as of the last commit java -jar clojure.jar clojure.main
no longer works, are there plans to have builds that bundle spec for quickly spawning repls?
there are things under way in this area, yes
different path than you’re suggesting though
