i just visited http://dev.clojure.org/display/community/Where+Did+Clojure.Contrib+Go and it automatically downloaded a very strange file to my computer...

nickmbailey18:03:01

it tried to download more but i told chrome to block it

nickmbailey18:03:07

the file is called “P9-AKX9lSL8”...

nickmbailey18:03:56

probably some weird confluence bug or something

nickmbailey18:03:00

but figured it was worth mentioning

nickmbailey20:03:17

doesn’t happen on repeated visits

nickmbailey20:03:40

googling that file, its also the video id for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9-AKX9lSL8

nickmbailey20:03:45

so yeah, some weird confluence bug

Were you logged in when you visited?

Alex Miller (Clojure team)20:03:30

I don’t see anything like that. seems pretty weird. nothing has changed in the confluence installation or that page recently. have you checked for rogue browser extensions or other things that might be affecting your browser?

nickmbailey20:03:53

yeah we can chalk it up to that i guess

nickmbailey20:03:04

i can’t repro or i’d disable extensions

nickmbailey20:03:18

but i don’t have anything that downloads youtube videos or anything heh

nickmbailey20:03:40

actually i lied

nickmbailey20:03:54

i can reproduce in chrome incognito mode

nickmbailey20:03:02

it happened as soon as i logged in

nickmbailey20:03:45

it happened when the ‘Whats New in Confluence 4.0’ popup shows up

nickmbailey20:03:57

this time it was 0YutYJg6Tgw which is the video id for another confluence demo video

nickmbailey20:03:20

so i donno, its harmless except for slightly alarming at first

nickmbailey20:03:42

but also doesn’t seem to be a browser extension issue

nickmbailey21:03:37

happens every time i re-login to confluence
