Hello all! I was wondering if someone has any idea of Clojure (Script) companies in Calgary :flag-ca: At the moment I reside in Vancouver, but I am thinking of moving

snoe17:05:56

I haven't found any yet (and there may be some I haven't heard of), a lot of remote clojure devs here though.

richiardiandrea19:05:24

Oh cool, do you folks have a meetup or something? In general I am thinking of coming and see if we like it and then start moving. About remote work, what are the companies? The obvious candidate there is CircleCI I guess?

I think @U0E2EQFME is in Calgary too

shaun-mahood01:05:49

But you should totally come to Edmonton if you really want somewhere without Clojure companies :)

I don’t know if any other Calgary companies using clojure, so it’s pretty province-wide Shaun 😂

flyboarder01:05:58

im not sure about other companies, but we span across edmonton/calgary

shaun-mahood01:05:50

Have you got more developers than just you doing Clojure now?

shaun-mahood01:05:36

I got a new job working for a company in Germany, and my Edmonton based former employer is planning to migrate away from Clojure - so you might be the only companies that I know of in the province.

richiardiandrea17:05:09

And ... Are you folks hiring 😅

flyboarder17:06:35

We aren’t currently looking for more regulars, always looking for available contract work tho

flyboarder17:06:56

@U054BUGT4 congrats! what is the new job?

shaun-mahood17:06:33

Frontend engineering at http://pitch.io (CLJS and re-frame) :)

dadair00:06:53

Not actively hiring atm, but not against accepting a resume
