Is this group still active? I see there are meetups posted on http://meetups.com, but they are all TBD

I think the group is looking for some leadership to drive the group. Running a meetup (planning topics, possibly preparing talks, securing a physical or online location, repeat every month) takes lot of energy.

Hi, Bob is exactly right. I would love to pass ownership to someone who has the energy to revive the group and hold regular meetings again. If you know of anyone who might be interested please let me know!
