Christian Weilbach’s talk on Datahike is here on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GG-S-xrDS5M PDF slides in the description, replicated here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nooNsiNRZxs_K-i_aKhCw9YPHczIAD2Y/view tl;dr: Datahike ~= Datascript + hitchhiker-tree 🤯 (with askance references to Christian’s current research work on probabilistic programming on the last slide) Much thanks to @whilo 🙏

Also, next Bay Area Clojure Meetup Apr 13, 2021 8PM PDT NEW ONE TIME CHANGE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR GUEST’S TIMEZONE (IDT GMT +3) https://www.meetup.com/The-Bay-Area-Clojure-User-Group/events/277181145/ @viebel will be speaking on “Data-Oriented programming: the secret sauce that makes Clojure system less complex” Here is Yehonathan’s blog: https://blog.klipse.tech/ (a shout out to @katieb for mad shepherding skillz)

Heather18:03:09

Does that mean 5pm for Pacific?

seancorfield18:03:39

8 pm Pacific. Which I believe is 6 am in Israel which is where Yehonathan is based.

seancorfield18:03:19

(which is why the talk is later in the day than normal for the Bay Area group — right @benwen?)

Heather18:03:33

Ah. I saw 8pm EDT and thought that must be Eastern Daylight Time, so we need to subtract 3 hours. It’s probably just that Meetup assumes Eastern.

seancorfield18:03:51

Definitely confusing! I looked at the web page for the event and it says:

Tuesday, April 13, 2021
8:00 PM to 10:00 PM PDT

seancorfield18:03:14

But, yeah, you’re right that Ben’s post says 8PM EDT

benwen19:03:53

Ugh sorry 8p-10p pdt

benwen19:03:15

The meetup is authoritative.

benwen19:03:35

My bad multitasked and addled brain

benwen19:03:09

I have made the edit to the above message. Again, sorry @hmoorefarley @seancorfield and all.
